COTR Carpentry Class APPLY NOW!

Dear Students & Parents:

The College of the Rockies Foundation Carpentry class is scheduled to begin at the start of second semester (February) of 2019. This 5 month program finishes approximately at the end of June 2019.

Should students and their families be interested in the Program, there are major planning pieces that require family consultation prior to registration. This Carpentry Foundations program gives students an opportunity to earn 24 Grade 12 elective credits towards completing the necessary 80 credits for Graduation. Successful completion of the program will result in Level 1 Carpentry Apprenticeship Certification.  There is no required tuition fee and the program is delivered through Prince Charles Secondary School. There is also a six week practical on site work experience building project – typically a house.

The program also provides the opportunity to complete certification in the following training programs:

  • WHMIS,
  • Level 1 – Occupational First Aid
  • Fall Protection
  • Construction Safety Training System
  • Ladder Safety Training
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods
